Tree Home

This really cool picture is from my daughter, Mary. We pondered whose home it could be. A tree gnome? A pixie? A boggart? It's quite small, maybe a rogue fairy lives there. Or it could be a ruse, to throw outsiders off track. That would be something a fairy would do, wouldn't it?

This fantasy photo was sent by my good friend, Susan Skitt. Imagine the world that lays beyond this natural doorway. It is friendly? Filled with giants? Or crazy and upsidedown, like Alice in Wonderland? We'll never know unless we go through. Who wants to come with me?

Fantasy Wonderland

This gorgeous photo was taken by my sister-in-law, Joy, in Hawaii. See the beautiful rainbow? It's really a pathway from the fairy realm, which only the Queen of the Fairies can walk on.

Water Fairy Paradise

This obvious water fairy paradise was found in New York, near my friend, Winnie's, house. Winnie and I enjoyed many hours walking through the woods and discovering all sorts of magical places. Notice the seemingly dead tree in the center. It's really a landmark for those who can recognize it.

A tree gnome home

This is obviously not a fairy home ... the opening is too big. It must be the home of a tree gnome. He was out when I snapped this picture.

I missed last Friday, so I'm posting a picture today. I will not be posting a fantasy picture this Friday (I'll be down the shore) or next Friday (8/7) because I'll be at the Philadelphia Writer's Conference. I could use more fantasy pics, so be on the look out and send me something I can share.

Fairy Seats

I took this near my friend, Brenda's, house in Maryland ... cheap seats for fairy games. Or maybe prominent places for the Fairy Council.

Fairy Doors

This picture came from Christine, too. See the obvious fairy door? It may be a decoy or not. It could also be closed magically. But notice the left side ... could THAT be the true door? Hmmmmmm .... we may never know.

Fairy Mushroom

This wonderful mushroom grew in one night in the front yard of my friend, Kim Sponaugle. Kim is the illustrator who created the header for Fairies, Fantasy and Faith. And being an artist, she couldn't resist capturing it on paper ... with a magical addition, of course!

Hidden Fairy Doors

This wonderful picture was sent by Fairies, Fantasy and Faith friend, Christine. This obvious fairy home sits next to her son's school. Christine says, "I am certain that there are some fairy doors hidden here. The question is, which are real doors and which are false?"

Water Fairies Live Here

This picture comes from Nancy's house, too. See the openings in the rocks at the edge of the lake? Those are water fairy homes. Water fairies are hard to see clearly, but when you're looking into the water and you see a silver flash, that's a water fairy. Some people will say it's fish, but that's only a disguise.

Who Lives Here?

I spent a glorious weekend last June at my friend, Nancy Rue's, house in Tennessee. She lives on Old Hickory Lake, which I discovered was the home of many-a water fairy and other mysterious creatures. Check out this picture. I believe it's the home of a cave troll, although he never did show his face. We respected his privacy and left him alone. It's always best to do that with trolls anyway.

Fantasy pictures pop up everywhere! Here's what my husband found while cutting the grass at his mom's house. It's a half-formed fairy ring. It seems that the fairies were interrupted before the dance was finished.
