On my way into Philadelphia, I saw this church and thought, wow, that looks just Tzmet's (the witch in my novel) tower in her castle! This is the place where she hangs and dries the fairies she's captured. Pretty cool.
This enchanted pathway beckons a traveler to adventure. However, once on the path, a person finds themself forever walking as the path twists and changes, never leading anyone anywhere. The only hope of salvation is to find and befriend a forest fairy.
This critter is a Stonefly. They live by clean water, like a running stream. It's about 3 inches long and harmless to people and nature. I'm going to use it in my next novel. Isn't he pretty?
Here's an interesting "twist." I can only imagine the huge fairy flock that swirled past this innocent sapling. It make look like a designated meeting spot, but I'm thinking the fairies were only having fun.
I saw this creature right out in the open in Williamsburg, VA last weekend. It looks like a fairy home, but it's not. Take note of the "fingers." This critter is a Tree Spirit, a devious, dangerous and hungry predator. He must be really old or maybe even dead, though, because these guys typically live in the forest for safety and disguise. If a curious creature were to investigate the opening, thinking it a fairy door, would soon find itself grabbed and devoured.
